Cup Cakes,

Hawaiian Punch

and then...

We were entertained with

Flip Flops,

Photo Props,

A Fire Pit

and a clever cup cake stand...

But our party would have meant nothin'

if we couldn't share it with our dearest  friends.

Yes!!!  I might just have the most creative husband in the world.
He drew and painted this adorable little Hawaiian girl ....
I know he had many reasons to complete this project.
1.  To please his photo loving wife.

Can You Believe It????

You Will Not Believe This!!!!! For months.... and months ....and month .... I have not posted anything. 5 months to be exact.  I had computer issues so I resorted back to a lap top that we have had since 1882.   This old thing just can't do what my newer computer could do.  Or so I thought.  The first time I tried to post pictures from this dinosaur, it would not allow me to.  I do admit it might have been user error.  I also agree that I would benefit from a computers 101 course.  Anyway,  I pouted a little, kicked and screamed slightly, and tried mild manipulation to get my husband to see how getting a new compute was mandatory.  Well,  that just didn't happen.  I excepted that I would have to hang up my ole bloggin' shoes and retire from postin'.  For the past 5 months I have been stampin' cards, Scrapbookin', making party favors, and creating a few gifts items......but I felt this emptiness inside.  I new I couldn't share my work on "Brenda Gail's Bright Ideas."  It was so hard to go on.  I thought...I must give it one more try.  What the hay!!!!!  It worked! Gosh darn it!  It worked!  5 months separated from the  ones I love for nothin'.  So I'm back in the game.  But I gotta tell you....If I sit here at my computer quiet enough, I can her her faintly say... I may be old but I'm sure not extinct. lol.  Check out a few of my creations from the last few months.

The first two cards were made for my neighbor. 

 Shes a nurse and needed a few cards for her nursin' buddies. 

This card was NOT for someone who was sick.

Silly,  it was for a promotion in the nursing feild. ;)

I have a fabulous friend who sales Mary Kay. 

She loves to order custom cards for her down line.

Valentine's Day!

Savanna had a Valentines Party @ School. 

We made her Valentine "box" out of a paint can.

  It was definitely different.  She loved it. :)

We made cute little bags w/ candy kisses and a tube of bubbles

 that said...Blow me a kiss!

I got this idea off of Pinterest. I'm so addicted!!!

Our family tradition is to be together, at home on Valentine's evening.

I foof the table up and dip some strawberries

 and make Lasagna for dinner.

I kinda cheated on my Valentine's Day Cards...

and I recommend this to you all because it was so easy....

  and a Big Hit.  I took pictures of old pictures.

Yes, you heard me right.

I took pictures of old pictures because I was to busy to go to

 Walmart and scan them.  Luckily it gave my project an

 old grainy look that I really liked.

Then I used my photo editing program to add wording to the card. 

A bow here, a dodad there, and walla...Done. 

This is Mason looking really scared.

Maybe he wasn't scared, he was just tired of me taken photos. HE!HE!

Hes almost 16 now, so looking back on when he was little is O so sweet.

 This is my favorite picture of Karleigh when she was little

cuz its so darn cute.  So innocent.

  All she knew was, there was something in her nose

 and she had to get it out. HE!HE!
